This story isn't just about a course completed, it's about a mindset shaped.
Walking into DSGS (Durgadevi Saraf Global Business School) to pursue my PGDM, I didn't fully realise how much the next two years would change the way I thought, worked, and carried myself professionally. I assumed a business school would teach me frameworks and case studies. What I didn't expect was how much it would teach me about myself.
The moment that stayed with me
If there's one memory I keep returning to, it's the Marketing Conclave Touge. Being part of it wasn't just about organising an event; it was about understanding how marketing actually works when theory meets execution. The planning, the pressure, the problem-solving on the fly it shaped me as a marketer in ways no textbook could.
Anchoring for Touge and Sabrang in consecutive years added another dimension entirely. Standing on stage, holding the energy of the room, representing the institution in front of peers and guests, it pushed me to discover a confidence I didn't know I had. Every event came with its own set of challenges, but also its own quiet sense of pride once it was done.
What the PGDM experience really taught me
Beyond the events and the certificates, DSGS gave me something less tangible but far more valuable, the ability to think beyond the obvious. The course curriculum was designed to challenge conventional approaches, and the faculty consistently pushed us to question, explore, and innovate rather than simply absorb information.
The brilliant faculty, the infrastructure, and the overall learning environment came together to create an ecosystem where students weren't just taught, they were developed. I saw it happen to my peers, and I experienced it myself.
From campus to career
Today, working at Crystal Technologies Pvt Ltd, I can trace many of my professional instincts back to those years at DSGS, the freedom we had to express our ideas openly to management and faculty, the friendships that turned into a genuine support system, and the mentors who continue to guide me even now.
Looking back, looking forward
If I had to sum it up, DSGS didn't just give me a PGDM degree, it gave me a foundation. A place where I learned to think differently, work collaboratively, and lead confidently. I hope to stay connected to this institution in whatever way I can, because some places don't just educate you, they become part of who you are.
