Durgadevi Saraf Institute of Management Studies (DSIMS) hosted its Annual Degree Distribution Ceremony for the MMS Batch 2023–25 on Saturday, 16 May 2026, at Durgadevi Saraf Hall. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of the graduating students, celebrating the successful completion of their Master in Management Studies (MMS) programme and their transition from academic life to the professional world. The programme commenced at 1:30 p.m., following the academic processions of students and faculty.
The event was presided over by Shri Ashok Saraf, Chairman, DSIMS and President of the Rajasthani Sammelan Educational Trust (RSET), and Shri Vinod Dalmia, Esteemed Trustee, RSET. The ceremony was graced by CA Mr. N. R. Parmeswaran, Director, Mastermind Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., as the Chief Guest, and Ms. Leena Dabholkar, Chief Human Resources Officer, Moolbhoy Group of Companies, as the Guest of Honour. The academic leadership of the institution was represented by Dr. C. Babu, Director, DSIMS, and Dr. Sarita Vichore, Director, DSGS.
The proceedings began with the National Anthem, followed by an invocation prayer and the traditional lighting of the lamp. The ceremony was formally declared open by the Chairman, DSGS/DSIMS. Dr. Sarita Vichore delivered the Welcome Address, followed by an address by the Chairman and the Director’s Report by Dr. C. Babu. The leadership addressed the graduating students on the significance of their academic achievements and encouraged them to carry forward the knowledge, values and professional competencies developed during their time at DSIMS.
The Convocation Address by the Chief Guest, CA Mr. N. R. Parmeswaran, was one of the key highlights of the programme. He shared valuable insights and guidance with the graduating students as they prepared to enter the professional world. A memento was presented to him as a token of appreciation.
The central highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates to the graduating students of MMS Batch 2023–25. The students received their degrees in recognition of their successful completion of the programme. The occasion represented the culmination of their academic efforts and the beginning of a new phase of professional growth.
Following the degree distribution, Ms. Leena Dabholkar, Guest of Honour, addressed the graduating batch and shared her professional insights and perspectives. Her address offered the students valuable guidance as they prepared to take on new roles and responsibilities in the corporate world. A memento was presented to her in appreciation of her presence and contribution to the occasion.
The achievements of the students were further recognised through the presentation of awards, medals and certificates, including the MMS Academic Excellence Award and the MMS Student of the Year award. The formal proceedings continued with the MBA Oath, administered by Mr. Somesh Kumar Banerji, Assistant Dean – Corporate Relations & Placement. The oath reinforced the importance of professional responsibility, ethical conduct and commitment to the management profession. This was followed by the Valedictory Address by the MMS Student of the Year, who reflected on the batch’s academic journey and experiences at DSIMS.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. Sumana Chaudhuri, Assistant Dean – Research, who expressed gratitude to the management, dignitaries, faculty, staff and students for their contribution to the successful conduct of the event. The ceremony was thereafter formally declared closed, followed by a photo session with the Chief Guest and faculty and staff. The academic procession then retreated, bringing the formal proceedings to an end.
